William “Jr” Bartley Wright Jr. age 83, of Tunnel Hill passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Tunnel Hill and a member of Nellie Head Baptist Church.
Mr. Wright, son of the late William Bartley Wright, Sr. and Abbie Pierce Wright, was born July 30, 1941 in Catoosa County, Georgia. He worked faithfully in the poultry business for over 45 years. Mr. Wright enjoyed farming, raising cattle, and taking trips to the Smoky Mountains. While at home, he enjoyed watching classic western movies and shows; Georgia football; and wrestling. The family remembers him as a Christian husband, father, and PawPaw.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nelva Wright; parents, Willam Bartley Wright Sr. and Abbie Pierce Wright, as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
Junior is survived by his children, Amy (James) Risner, Bart (Lydia) Wright, Kevin (Krista) Wright; grandchildren, Lane Wright, Callie Wright, Noah (Kali) Wright, Cole Wright, Shannon Wright, Maggie Wright; great-grandchildren Madelynn Wright, Carter Wright, and Cooper Wright; as well as many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 Wilson Funeral Home Willis-Stewart Chapel, 443 Boynton Drive, Ringgold, Georgia with Reverend Larry Underwood officiating.
