William Earnest Burnette
November 17, 1937 - November 25, 2025
William Ernest Burnette, 88, of Rossville passed away on November 25, 2025. William was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and attended of Victory Baptist Church. He participated in the Brainerd Optimist Club and the Mount City Corvette Club and was involved in 4-H during his years at Tyner High School. He was also an avid supporter of Tennessee football.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Eugene Burnette and Mary Euggenia Chapman; his wife, Vicky Gene Burnette; granddaughter, Kayla Burnette; sister & brothers in law.
Survivors include his four children: Scotty Burnette (Branda), Glenn Burnette, Victor Burnette (Kimberly), and Teaquila Holmes (Jay); four sisters: Barbara Jean Dye, Priscilla Locklear, Patricia Gracie, and Mary Virginia; four grandchildren: Andrew Rider, Brandi Watkins, Hayley Atchley, and Glenn Jr.; and five great-grandchildren: Rylin Watkins, Kai Watkins, Wakley Atchley, Ryker Atchley, and Ivan Burnette.
William will be remembered by his family and by those who knew him through his community involvement and lifelong interests.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Williams life with a visitation from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Lakewood South in Rossville
