Mike Powers (Mornings) 6am-9am Monday-Friday

Mike has lived and breathed local radio for over 35 years.

Married for almost 30 years to a wonderful woman, serving as a para-professional in the public school system. Dad to three great kids, although they are all adults now. Daughter is an accomplished elementary school teacher, the older son is serving as a Youth Pastor and the youngest is in college studying business and playing baseball.

Mike’s career started writing and reading local news in the afternoons for his hometown station in Murfreesboro, Tennessee while still in high school. Relocated for work in Chattanooga 30 years ago and never left.

Mike has been associated with radio in Northwest Georgia since 1994, working for WQCH as the afternoon host in 94 and 95, then in the Trenton area (in some capacity) since 1995. He is currently the morning show host on WQCH, midday man on our sister station, WJTW and the afternoon voice on our sister station, WFLI, while managing the day to day operations for all of our stations in the area.
