Betty Lucille Parris, 77, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. Betty was born in LaFayette, Georgia on February 8, 1949 to the late Joseph “Lefty” Lindsey, Jr. and Clara Hazel Lindsey. Betty was a life-long resident of the Northwest Georgia area, was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Roper in LaFayette, Georgia, for many years. Betty greatly enjoyed taking trips to Casinos, and shopping, especially at Hamrick’s. She was always the life of the party and loved having a good time. She was the best cook and could make an egg sandwich better than anyone. Above all, Betty treasured her grandchildren and her family and enjoyed every moment with them. Loved by all who knew her, she will be genuinely missed.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Carl Parris; parents, Joseph “Lefty” Lindsey, Jr. and Clara Hazel Lindsey; and brothers, Wendell Allen Cordell, Harold David Byrd, and Jerry Wayne Lindsey.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Michelle (Randy) White, Stefanie (Raymond) Martin, Michael (Geno) Day, and daughter-in-love, Crystal Yarbrough Day, all of LaFayette, Georgia; grandchildren, Brittany (Derek) Murdock, Jacob (Stephanie) White, Austin Weaver, Zoe Day, and Zana Day; great-grandchildren, Ella Murdock, Daegan Murdock, Eli White, Ripp White, and Zayden Weaver; and several nieces and nephews.
