Marcia Clarisse McNabb, 81, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Marcia was born at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on March 4, 1945, to the late Isaac Clifford and Marjorie Dimple Strickland. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area and attended Rossville High School. In her earlier years, she was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Fairview United Methodist Church in Rossville, Georgia. Marcia was strong in her faith and a very resilient woman. “A lot of strength and love in a small package!” She was a cosmetologist for many years at Tootsie’s Hair Salon and Smartstyle, and worked for several years at The Busy Shopper paper. She was a great cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She liked gardening and working in her large yard. Most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and mamaw. She was loved by her family and everyone who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald McNabb; parents, Isaac Clifford and Marjorie Dimple Strickland; sister-in-law, Paula Strickland; and first husband, Sammie Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Angela (Ed) Nash of Ringgold, Georgia; sister, Sherri (Dennis) Morrow of Rising Fawn, Georgia; brothers, Michael Strickland of Rossville, Georgia, and Tim (Cheryl) Strickland of Chickamauga, Georgia; grandchildren, Matthew Nash and Edward Nash; uncle, Wilbur (Mary) Strickland of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; aunt, Joyce (Link) Rogers of Ringgold, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later time. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this difficult time.
