Sandra Wilkey Wallin

Sandra Wilkey Wallin passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, causing the world to lose a little bit of its sparkle. If you knew her, you knew three things for sure: she was one of the calmest people in the room; she had an infectious laugh; and she probably had a Minion somewhere on her person.

Sandra spent years making lives more beautiful as a florist. She had a way with flowers that felt like magic, turning a few stems into something that could brighten your whole day. Later in life, she took that same kindness and became an LPN. She was the nurse you wanted by your side; patient and steady.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Wallin; sons, John (Jenna) Turnipseed and Aaron (Kala) Turnipseed; step-children, Chad (Destiny) Wallin and Cassandra Wallin; grandchildren, Georgia, Matthew, Clara, Lucius, Taylor, Kaylee, Allyssa, Wyatt, Maiz, and Josie; great-grandchildren, Adam and Tilly; parents, Willis and Linda Wilkey; sister, EllyMae Denise Wilkey; stepsister, Joy Mann; and stepbrothers, Jeff and Duran Rowlls. She will be dearly missed by her niece, two nephews, great-nephew and many friends and former colleagues. Sandra also leaves behind by her devoted four-legged best friend, Pip, who brought her endless smiles and snuggles, while also biting at anyone he deemed unworthy of being near his favorite human. She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Leffew.

Sandra taught us that you are never too old to giggle and never too busy to be kind. The family would love for you to leave the dark colored clothing at home; feel free to wear Spring colors or floral prints in Sandra’s honor.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Malcolm Harris officiating.

Interment will take place at the LaFayette City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are John Turnipseed, Aaron Turnipseed, Chad Wallin, Wyatt Lovern, Matthew Turnipseed, Maiz Wallin.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to the hour of service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
