Dorothy McAllister

Dorothy McAllister age 92, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 13, 2026. A life long resident of Catoosa County, Dorothy was born to the late William Byrd and Wencie Caylor Byrd in 1933. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and loved to garden. Dorothy was always able to find the good in everyone that she met.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward McAllister and their son, Rickey McAllister
Dorothy is survived by her children, Shelia Dougherty, Warren (Tammy) McAllister, Michael McAllister, and April (Charlie) Bowers as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 and on Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 with Pastor Randy Bell officiating in the Wallis – Stewart Chapel of Wilson Funeral Homes in Ringgold, Georgia.
