Michael Lee Thomison

Michael Lee Thomison, 72, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026. Michael was born on August 4, 1953, in Hamilton County, Tennessee, to the late Donald Lee and Barbara Maxine Thomison. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Northwest Georgia area. Michael always enjoyed camping, fishing, bonfires, cookouts, playing cornhole, and spending time with his friends, his favorite fur baby, Jackson, and his birds, Blue and Sky. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains and beautiful sandy beaches. Above all, he enjoyed his Saturdays in the fall, watching what he called his “gospel station,” ESPN, and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs! Michael was dearly loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lee and Barbara Maxine Thomison, and brother-in-law, Joe Davis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Justin Roldan of Ocean View, California; sisters, Karen Davis of Chickamauga, Georgia, Patricia Miller of Chickamauga, Georgia, and Gail Sharpton of Trenton, Georgia; extended family, Kim and Paula Anglin, Johnica Williams, Trey Patterson, Sarah VanBuskirk, Brian Lake, Eric Brown, Rachel Rose, and Kimmy Patterson; and several nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our family during this difficult time.
