The LaFayette Rotary Club is giving community members a chance to win a $500 Walmart gift card while supporting local students through its annual scholarship fundraising effort.
According to organizers, raffle tickets are available for $5 each or five tickets for $20. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward the club’s scholarship program benefiting students at LaFayette High School.
The $500 Walmart gift card can be used for groceries, gas, household items, or anything available through Walmart stores.
The winning ticket will be drawn on the main stage during the Honeybee Festival on May 30 in downtown LaFayette.
Tickets can be purchased at several local businesses, including:
- The Bank of LaFayette (main office)
- Hammond-Jones Hardware
- Chapman Jewelry
- Sallie McGinnis State Farm
- Tim Mason CPA
- Synovus Bank
- Or from any Rotary Club member.
Club members say the fundraiser is another way the organization continues investing in the future of local students while encouraging community involvement during one of LaFayette’s signature annual events.
