Walker County is moving forward with a new provider for emergency ambulance services following action taken at Thursday night’s Board of Commissioners meeting.
Commissioners voted to approve a five-year contract with AdventHealth to assume responsibility for ambulance service across the county.
Under the agreement, AdventHealth will officially take over emergency medical transport operations beginning in February of next year.
