Walker County has announced the official opening of Adventure Acres, the city’s first signature park.
A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th at 4 p.m.
County officials said crews recently completed major landscaping work at the park, including the installation of 22 pallets of sod across the main park grounds. The work was completed by members of the Road Department.
In a statement, the County praised the department’s efforts and thanked employees for the pride they take in their work, noting that the new facility is expected to become a valuable community asset.
Adventure Acres is part of the County continued investment in parks, recreation, and outdoor amenities for residents and visitors.
The Park is Located at 370 Salem Road just outside Rossville.
