Walker County residents will have another opportunity later this month to help shape the future of their community as county leaders continue work on updating the county’s Comprehensive Plan.

The second stakeholder meeting for the plan update is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center, located at 10052 North Highway 27 in Rock Spring.

County officials say the meeting is part of an ongoing effort to gather public input on future growth, development, infrastructure, and community priorities throughout Walker County. Residents, business owners, and community leaders are encouraged to attend and share their ideas and concerns as planners continue developing long-term goals for the county.

Officials emphasized that the meeting is open to the public and welcomed anyone interested in participating in discussions about the county’s future.

A third stakeholder meeting has also been scheduled for June 25 at the Walker County Civic Center. Additional details about that meeting are expected to be released closer to the event date.
