The LaFayette High School Lady Ramblers volleyball team has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring a full slate of non-region tournaments, area matchups and invitationals as the team prepares for another competitive season.
The season begins with a scrimmage at Christian Heritage on Aug. 3 before the Ramblers travel to Sonoraville for a play date on Aug. 8. LaFayette will then face several early-season opponents, including The King’s Academy, Armuchee, Ridgeland, Cedartown, Adairsville, Gordon Lee, Darlington, Dalton, Christian Heritage and Calhoun.
The Lady Ramblers will host several key home dates at LaFayette High School, including matchups against Adairsville and Gordon Lee on Aug. 18, a tri-match with Darlington, Dalton and Christian Heritage on Aug. 20, and contests against Armuchee, Northwest Whitfield, Model, Oakwood Christian, Gilmer and LFO during September.
Area competition begins Sept. 10 when LaFayette hosts Rockmart and Heritage. Other important area matches include trips to Ringgold on Sept. 15 and Coahulla Creek on Sept. 22. The Ramblers will celebrate Senior Night on Sept. 29 when they host Murray County and North Murray.
Tournament play will be a major part of the schedule, with appearances in the Gordon Lee JV Kickoff on Aug. 15, the GVCA Invitational on Aug. 29, the Trojan Invitational on Sept. 12 and the Raider Rally on Sept. 26.
The regular season concludes Oct. 1 at Model before region tournament play begins Oct. 5. The state playoffs are scheduled to begin with the first round Oct. 17, followed by the second round Oct. 20-21, quarterfinals Oct. 24, semifinals Oct. 27-28 and the state championship match Oct. 29-31.
The Ramblers will field both varsity and junior varsity teams throughout much of the season as they look to make a deep postseason run in 2026.
