Walker County Fire Rescue Promotes Dushan Kovacevich to Captain

Walker County Fire Rescue has announced the promotion of Dushan Kovacevich to the rank of Captain, recognizing his extensive experience and commitment to fire service and public safety.

Captain Kovacevich brings a wealth of knowledge in emergency response, fire and life safety codes, fire prevention, and fire investigations. Throughout his career, he has completed numerous professional training courses and earned the IAAI CFI-FIT (Certified Fire Investigator – Fire Investigation Technician) certification, a credential that demonstrates expertise in determining the origin and cause of fires.

In his new role, Kovacevich will continue serving as Deputy Fire Marshal for Walker County. His responsibilities will include supporting fire prevention initiatives, conducting fire investigations, and providing fire safety education to residents throughout the county.

Walker County Fire Rescue officials praised Kovacevich’s dedication and leadership, noting that his promotion reflects both his professional accomplishments and his ongoing commitment to protecting the community.
