Queen City Showcase to Bring Local Talent to Mars Theatre in July

The Northwest Georgia Arts Guild is inviting the community to celebrate local talent during its upcoming Queen City Showcase, a two-night variety show scheduled for July 10 and 11 at the Mars Theatre in downtown LaFayette.

The performances will begin at 7 p.m. each evening at the historic Mars Theatre, located at 117 N. Chattanooga Street in the city’s Depot Arts District.

According to organizers, the showcase will feature 10 different acts highlighting a wide range of artistic talent from the region. The lineup includes a musical group, storytelling, poetry readings, a one-act play, and a belly dance performance, offering a diverse evening of entertainment for audiences of all ages.

The event is sponsored by the Northwest Georgia Arts Guild as part of its mission to promote and support the arts throughout the region. Guild officials are also seeking sponsorships from businesses and individuals to help fund the organization’s ongoing programs and initiatives.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or online through Eventbrite by searching for “The Queen City Showcase” presented by the Northwest Georgia Arts Guild.

Organizers encourage residents from across Northwest Georgia to attend and support local performers while enjoying an evening of music, theater, dance, and storytelling.
