John Eugene Headrick

John Eugene Headrick, 64, of Rossville, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 8, 2026.

John was born on January 24, 1962, in Chattanooga, TN, to Robert Eugene and Mary Elizabeth Headrick. He graduated from Lakeview High School in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, Class of 1981. John was a licensed minister in the Church of God and served for 45 years in the North Georgia area. He was incredibly active in the church in any way that the church needed. John is a talented musician who can play trombone, piano, bass guitar, organ, and accordion. He was an avid TN Vols fan. John was mechanically inclined-he was a builder, seamster, engineer, excellent cook, a poet, and an outside-the-box thinker in all aspects of his life. Later in John’s life, he developed a love for hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Aaron Lee Headrick; his sister, Vicki Pece; his father and mother-in-law, Don and Nancy Chambers; his brother-in-law, Rev. Dennis Chambers; and his nephew, Lance Corporal William Chambers.

John is survived by his wife of 44 years, Denise Headrick; his sons, Jeremy (Heather) Headrick and Caleb (Daisha) Headrick; his mother, Mary Headrick; his grandsons, Aaron, Jacob, and Joshua Headrick; his brother, Randy Headrick; and a host of extended family members, friends, and his precious dog, Auggie the Doggie.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, and two hours prior to the service on Friday, June 12, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA.
