The Walker County Animal Shelter is asking for community support as it works to provide care, comfort, and essential supplies for the animals currently in its care.
Shelter officials say the continued generosity of local residents has made a significant difference, but several items are urgently needed to help care for the shelter’s dogs and cats.
Donations can be dropped off at the shelter at any time. Items may be safely left at the gate, and shelter staff will make sure they are collected and put to use.
Community members can also support the shelter through its Amazon Wishlist, which features needed supplies as well as some of the animals currently benefiting from community donations.
Shelter officials say every item donated helps provide food, care, and comfort for the animals while they wait for their forever homes.
