Betty June Williams Huckabee

Betty June Williams Huckabee, age 87, of LaFayette, Georgia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Born and raised in LaFayette, Betty was the daughter of the late Charlie F. Williams and Mable Harris Williams. A lifelong resident of LaFayette, she was a faithful member of Community Baptist Church and a devoted Christian whose life reflected kindness, faith, and love for others.
Betty had a special gift for spreading joy and encouragement to those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her sister attending and having yard sales and sharing fellowship with family and friends. She also loved her yearly “sister trips” to Florida. Her greatest treasures were her family, and she will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence brought comfort and happiness to many lives.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles “Chuck” Huckabee; her son, Larry Wayne Bell; and sixteen siblings.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Darlene (Bob) Nettles and Bryan (Elizabeth) Huckabee; her sister, Alice (Jim) Gunther; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home-LaFayette Chapel, with Pastor Mike Angel officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, and from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
Betty's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
