As temperatures continue to rise across the region, the Catoosa County Library is providing residents with a place to escape the summer heat while enjoying the library’s resources and summer reading activities.
The library is serving as a designated cooling station throughout the summer, offering a comfortable indoor location where community members can take a break from high temperatures, especially during the hottest afternoon hours.
Residents visiting the cooling station can also take advantage of the library’s collection, programs, and summer reading opportunities while staying cool and safe.
The Catoosa County Library cooling station is available during regular operating hours. The schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Officials encourage residents to make use of the cooling station as needed during periods of extreme heat.
