Ella Mae Humphrey

Ella Mae “Billie” Humphrey, 86, peacefully went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Ella was a faithful member of Moriah Baptist Church and lived a life rooted in her love for the Lord. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. She was the heart of her family, bringing everyone together with her unwavering love, kindness, and generous spirit. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and welcome.

Ella possessed a remarkable creative spirit and an eye for beauty, finding joy in transforming the ordinary into something special. Whether she was thoughtfully decorating her home, preparing meals that brought family and friends together, designing handcrafted wreaths, embellishing clothing with her own artistic touch, refreshing a room with a new coat of paint, or pursuing her latest creative endeavor, she approached each project with love, imagination, and care. She also had a lifelong affection for cats, whose quiet companionship brought her comfort and happiness throughout the years.

She was born in Virginia on, October 15, 1939, she was a daughter of the late William “Bill” Parks and Rosella Jackson Parks,

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles J. Humphrey; her daughter, Carol Millard.

She is survived by her son, Keith Humphrey (Michele); her daughter, Cindy Harbour; her grandchildren, Brad Harbour, April Harbour, Jessica Poe Johnson (Mattison), and Meagan Sexton (Josh); and four cherished great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.

Ella’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, unconditional love, creativity, and selfless devotion to her family. She will be remembered for the warmth she shared, the traditions she created, and the countless lives she blessed. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those who have gone before her and is forever at peace in the presence of her Savior.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 8th in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Randy Lynn and Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, July 7th and from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, July 8th.
