Cherokee Ridge Elementary has released its school supply lists for the 2026-27 school year, giving families a chance to begin shopping before classes begin. Supply requirements vary by grade level, with several common items requested throughout the school.
In addition to grade-specific supplies, teachers are asking for classroom donations of Band-Aids, hand sanitizer, tissues, Magic Erasers, disinfecting wipes, Ziploc bags, Expo dry erase markers, and paper towels.
Here’s a breakdown of what’s needed by grade:
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will need one pair of plug-in headphones (no earbuds or wireless), one zippered pencil pouch, two primary composition notebooks (blank space at the top with writing lines below), two containers of Play-Doh, one pair of scissors, and eight glue sticks.
1st Grade
First graders should bring two solid-color plastic folders with prongs, two marble composition notebooks, two boxes of 24-count crayons, one pair of kid scissors, one pair of plug-in headphones (no earbuds), one zippered pencil pouch with holes, four glue sticks, two block erasers, one pack of black dry erase markers, two boxes of tissues, five containers of disinfecting wipes, and one box of Ziploc bags. The school notes that all supplies will be shared except for scissors, pencil pouches, and headphones.
2nd Grade
Second grade students will need two solid-color plastic folders with prongs, four marble composition notebooks, two boxes of 24-count crayons, one pair of scissors, four glue sticks, one pair of plug-in headphones (no earbuds), one zippered pencil pouch with holes, two boxes of tissues, and two containers of disinfecting wipes. As with first grade, scissors, pencil pouches, and headphones will not be shared.
3rd Grade
Third graders should have four wide-ruled solid composition notebooks, one box of 24-count crayons or less, one box of colored pencils, one pair of kid scissors, one pair of plug-in headphones (no earbuds), one zippered pencil pouch with holes, four glue sticks, four packs of pre-sharpened pencils, two boxes of tissues, and two containers of disinfecting wipes.
4th Grade
Students entering fourth grade will need two pairs of plug-in headphones (no earbuds), one spiral-bound notebook, two packs of pencils, one pack of pencil-top erasers, one box of 24-count crayons or less, one eight-count box of markers, one box of colored pencils, one pair of scissors, two composition notebooks, two one-and-a-half-inch three-ring binders, two tab dividers, one zippered pencil pouch with holes, four folders, and six jumbo glue sticks.
5th Grade
Fifth grade students should bring one pack of notebook paper, two boxes of pencils, one box of colored pencils, one box of crayons, one pack of dry erase markers, one pair of scissors, one zippered pencil pouch, eight glue sticks, two pairs of plug-in headphones, two bound marble composition notebooks, four folders with prongs, and four one-and-a-half-inch three-ring binders.
School officials encourage families to review the lists carefully and begin purchasing supplies early to help students start the new school year prepared.
