Families still have time to sign up for youth fall sports through the City of LaFayette Parks and Recreation Department, but the registration deadline is quickly approaching.
Registration remains open through Friday, Aug. 8, giving parents just over a week to enroll their children in a variety of fall sports programs.
This year’s offerings include soccer for ages 3-14, cheerleading for ages 5-12, volleyball for ages 7-14, flag football for ages 5-6, and tackle football for ages 7-12.
Registration fees vary by sport and age group. Soccer costs $25 for 4U and $40 for ages 6 and up. Volleyball and flag football are $40, while cheerleading and tackle football are $65.
Parents can register in one of three ways:
- Visit the LaFayette Recreation Department at 638 S. Main Street in LaFayette.
- Call 706-639-1590.
- Register online through the TeamSideline website.
Parks and Recreation officials encourage families not to wait until the last minute, reminding residents that the registration period closes on Aug. 8.
