A roadway safety improvement project is scheduled to get underway Thursday, July 30, along three roads in Walker County.
A contractor will perform a variety of improvements along Johnson Road, Five Points Road and Wilson Road. The work will include shoulder improvements, the installation of raised pavement markers, new striping and additional traffic signage.
Officials expect the project to take approximately one month to complete.
The improvements are being funded through the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG) Safety Action Plan.
