November 7, 1938 - August 2, 2026
Maybelline Clark McGowen, age 87, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
Born in Sylvania, Alabama, to the late Grady Clark and Alma Hall Clark, Maybelline moved to Chickamauga at a young age. She later resided in the Michigan area for several years before returning to the Chickamauga community in 1985, where she remained for the rest of her life.

Affectionately known as "Nana" by all who knew her, she had a kind and nurturing spirit that touched countless lives. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and treasured friend whose warmth, compassion, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley Carl McGowen; brothers, O.C. Clark and Odis Clark; and sister, Inez Evans.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Carla (Paul) Fuller; stepchildren, Debbie Wellman and Danny McGowen; sister, Betty Michalak; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Hays and Brooke (Daniel) Leonard; step-grandchildren, Ammy Whall, Josh Gleason, Zach Fuller and Julie Fuller; great-grandchildren, Emma, Maybelline, Everly, Rosie, and Lucy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
