Randy “Buck” Gowan

Randy “Buck” Gowan, 68, of Rossville passed away Saturday, August 8th, 2026. Buck was born March 23rd, 1958, in Pulaski, TN to the late Vestal Franklin Gowan and Mary Louise Darnell. He has been a resident of the North Georgia area for over 40 years and was of the Christian faith. Buck served his country in the United States Navy and was the proud owner and operator of Buck’s Guttering Co. He enjoyed coaching Lakeview Little League Baseball, basketball and served as the LFORA Commissioner of Ballfields. Buck also loved watching the Atlanta Braves and all sports! He loved his family and was a proud father, grandfather, husband, and friend to all.

Buck is preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Jane Gowan Gaines.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Oliva “Olive” Gowan; son, Matthew (Brandi) Gowan; daughter, Genesis “Lexi” (Michael Ibanez) Gowan; grandchildren, Maddie Gowan and Sophia Ibanez; siblings, Franklin “Bubba” Gowan, Barry Carl Gowan, Shirley Sue Gowan Williams, and Melissa Kay Gowan Beaver; sister in laws, Hermie (Ray) Ashcraft and Helen (Dennis) Lowe; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
