LaFayette Lady Ramblers Announce 2026 Flag Football Schedule

The LaFayette High School Lady Ramblers are gearing up for another season on the gridiron, with the school releasing its 2026 varsity flag football schedule.

LaFayette will open the season on Tuesday, Sept. 22, with a road trip to Heritage High School in Ringgold. The Lady Ramblers will face Heritage at 5 p.m. before taking on Rome at 7:30 p.m.

The road schedule continues Sept. 30 at Cherokee High School in Canton, where LaFayette will face Cherokee and North Gwinnett. On Oct. 6, the Lady Ramblers travel to Fannin County in Blue Ridge for their first region contests of the season against Fannin County and Gilmer.

LaFayette will make its home debut Oct. 20, hosting Oakwood Christian at LHS. The varsity game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with JV action to follow at 6:30 p.m.

The Lady Ramblers return to the road Oct. 22 to face Pickens and Lumpkin County in Jasper before hosting region opponents Dawson County and Dalton Academy on Oct. 29.

November begins with a trip to Mount Paran in Marietta on Nov. 3, where LaFayette will take on Mount Paran and Mount Pisgah. The Lady Ramblers then close out the regular-season schedule with two home dates. Heritage and Ringgold visit LHS on Nov. 5 for region competition, while Dalton Academy comes to LaFayette on Nov. 10 for the regular-season finale.

The postseason is scheduled to begin Nov. 18 with the first two rounds of the GHSA State Playoffs. The state quarterfinals are set for Dec. 1, followed by the semifinals Dec. 3.

The GHSA Division 2 State Championship is scheduled for Dec. 8 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

LaFayette’s flag football program is led by head coach Josh James, with Katie Thomas serving as assistant coach. Game dates and start times are subject to change.
