LaFayette High School athletics had a busy night Tuesday, and the action continues this week with volleyball and high school football.
The LaFayette Lady Ramblers volleyball team split its varsity matches Tuesday night against Adairsville and Gordon Lee. LaFayette’s JV squad had a strong showing, picking up victories over both Adairsville and Gordon Lee.
The Lady Ramblers will return home Thursday for another full evening of volleyball. LaFayette is scheduled to play three matches, with action beginning at 5 p.m. and additional matches set for 6 and 7 p.m.
Attention then turns to the gridiron as several area high school football teams prepare to hit the road.
The Gordon Lee Trojans will travel to Trion to take on the Bulldogs, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Ridgeland Panthers will also be on the road, traveling to Cedartown for a matchup against the Bulldogs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
The LaFayette Ramblers will make the trip to Chattooga to face the Indians, with that game also scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m.
