Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Culinary Arts Program is inviting the community to enjoy a series of student-prepared prix fixe dinners throughout September.
Students taking Contemporary Cuisine this semester will prepare three themed dinners featuring cuisine from different parts of Europe and the Mediterranean.
The series begins Tuesday, Sept. 15, with Spanish cuisine, followed by Mediterranean cuisine on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The final dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 29, will feature French cuisine.
Guests can choose from seating times at 5 p.m., 5:45 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Each dinner will feature a four-course meal with choices of appetizers, soups or salads, entrées and desserts. The inclusive price is $35 per person, with payment accepted by cash or personal check only.
GNTC says the dinners will feature seated dining with tableside service rather than a buffet.
The meals are part of the students’ coursework, with teams developing, planning, preparing and supervising each themed dinner. At the conclusion of the meal, guests will be asked to complete a critique survey and submit it to Contemporary Cuisine instructors Chef Greg Paulson or Chef Anna Ray.
Guests are asked to arrive five to 10 minutes before their scheduled seating time.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling Chef Greg Paulson at 706-516-5121. Callers should leave their name, the number of people attending, their preferred dinner date and seating time.
