Walker County residents who missed out on last month’s “Mulch Madness” will have another opportunity to pick up free mulch this weekend.
The Walker County Landfill is bringing the popular giveaway back for a one-day encore on Saturday, September 5.
During the event, visitors can receive up to two loader buckets of mulch at no cost while supplies last.
The giveaway provides residents with an opportunity to pick up mulch for landscaping, gardens, flower beds and other projects around their homes and properties.
The Walker County Landfill will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday for the special event.
The encore follows last month’s Mulch Madness event and gives those who were unable to participate another chance to take advantage of the free mulch.
Residents planning outdoor projects are encouraged to stop by the landfill Saturday and take advantage of the one-day giveaway.
