The Matchbox Drive-Thru Wedding Chapel and Matchbox Mystery Experiences are bringing Fall Break at the MARS to historic MARS Theatre in downtown LaFayette on Thursday, October 15.
The day begins at 1:00 PM with a completely FREE community screening of The Little Princess (1939), starring Shirley Temple. Admission is free for everyone, but reservations are highly encouraged, because seating is limited. Tickets will be available at the door until sold out.
At 6:00 PM, the MARS gets a little weirder with a Retro-Horror Double Feature featuring Night of the Living Dead (1968), followed by Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959). One $15 ticket includes both films. Reservations are highly encouraged due to limited seating. Tickets will be available at the door until sold out.
Five Community Sponsors have joined the event: Jayhawk Songwriters Coalition, Queen City Scoops, Ali Lecroy — Local Realtor, Sunflower Grace Photography, and Panama Tan & Fitness. Together, the sponsors have covered the theater rental for the day.
Honey & Pine will also join the event as the Movie Snack Box provider, with special preorder snack boxes available for moviegoers.
Fall Break at the MARS is part of an effort to bring affordable, unusual and community-centered entertainment to historic downtown LaFayette.
