The City of Lafayette invites you tonight to the Christmas parade
Just a heads up that there will be a number of road closures happening this weekend due to the Christmas Parade and Reindeer Run.
The parade is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., and as a result, Main Street will be closed from Margaret Street to South Duke Street. The South End of Cherokee Street will also be closed beginning at 4:30 p.m. for the lineup area. If you need to get around the area, you may want to use Duke Street as a detour route. All roads should be reopened by approximately 7:30 p.m.
The Reindeer Run will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. Main Street will be closed from Margaret Street to Grant Street, and Duke Street will be closed from South Main Street to Warthen Street until approximately 10 a.m.
