GNTC Hiring Surgical Technology Instructor for Walker County Campus

Georgia Northwestern Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Surgical Technology Instructor on the Walker County Campus. In addition, the successful applicant will participate in institutional activities, advise students, and be responsible for the clinical coordinating for both Surgical Technology and Central Sterile. Teaching load could include day and online courses both on and off campus. This position works directly with the Surgical Technology Program Director and the Dean of Nursing and Health Technologies. Required Qualifications: Applicant must possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), have a minimum of three years of documented experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in Surgical Technology or related field.Post secondary teaching experience, curriculum development, and program recruitment experience in a two-year college environment. Experience teaching hybrid or online classes using Blackboard software. Excellent technology and classroom management skills and experience in online delivery of course work.

Salary and
Benefits: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 dependent upon credentials and experience.13 paid State holidays, sick leave and annual leave accruals (10 hours each on a monthly basis), State of Georgia Benefits package that includes health and flexible benefits insurance options, 401k options, and a choice of retirement plans: the Teachers Retirement System of Georgia or the Employee’s Retirement System of Georgia.
