Early voting began Tuesday and continues through Friday, October 30.

Regular early voting hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Walker County Elections Office, located at 311 South Main Street in LaFayette.

Voters will also have opportunities to cast ballots on two Saturdays during the early voting period — October 17 and October 24.

On Saturday, October 24, early voting will also be available at three additional locations in Walker County:

  • Chickamauga Civic Center, 1817 Lee Clarkson Road
  • Rossville Civic Center, 400 McFarland Avenue
  • Fairyland Community Center, 1214 Lula Lake Road

Voters who choose to vote early are not required to vote at their assigned Election Day precinct and may use an available early voting location in the county.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters casting ballots on Election Day must vote at their assigned precinct.

Georgia voters are required to present acceptable photo identification when voting in person.

The Walker County Elections Office is encouraging voters to take advantage of the early voting period rather than waiting until Election Day.
