Walker County officials will officially open Adventure Acres today marking the debut of the county’s first signature park designed to provide a unique outdoor play experience for families.
The grand opening ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the new park, located at 370 Salem Road in Rossville.
Adventure Acres features a treehouse-themed playground, a free community splash pad, a quarter-mile walking trail, pavilion space with restrooms, and several additional amenities aimed at creating a family-friendly destination for residents and visitors.
A short program will take place prior to the official ribbon cutting and activation of the splash pad, weather permitting. County officials say refreshments and event swag will be available while supplies last.
Representatives from Walker County, PlayCore / GameTime, and the Walker County Chamber of Commerce are expected to participate in the event.
County leaders say Adventure Acres represents a major investment in recreation and quality of life for the community, offering a destination centered around outdoor activity and family entertainment.
