The Armuchee Valley Community Center will offer local residents an opportunity to learn more about their health while also doing some bargain hunting during two community events on Saturday, September 12.
A community health fair will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the center, located at 11471 Georgia Highway 136 outside of LaFayette.
The health fair will feature a variety of services and resources designed to help residents better understand and manage their health. Offerings will include blood pressure checks and education, diabetes support, heart disease risk assessments and personalized health education.
Organizers hope the event will give community members convenient access to basic health screenings and information that can help them make informed decisions about their well-being.
The Armuchee Valley Community Center will also host a community yard sale earlier that morning. The yard sale will run from 7 a.m. until noon, giving visitors an opportunity to shop before or during the health fair.
