On September 26th, an unusual incident unfolded at the Cadence Bank branch located on US Hwy 27 in Chickamauga. Around 3:30 P.M., a male individual later identified as Ric Thomason entered the bank.
Thomason handed a note to the bank tellers, requesting money. The bank tellers complied with the request, and Thomason left the premises. Chickamauga police were notified and issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for Thomason and his vehicle.
Shortly after, a Catoosa County Sheriff’s officer spotted an individual and a vehicle matching the description from the BOLO. The officer detained the individual, who was later confirmed to be Ric Thomason, the suspect involved in the Chickamauga bank incident.
Chickamauga Officers conducted the arrest without any issues, and Thomason was transported to the Walker County Jail.
