The Fort Oglethorpe Police Department Arrest a Suspect at the Gilbert-Stephenson Park Thursday 4-6-23, the Police Department  posted the Suspect was “A gentleman was lurking about the park” and did interact with at least one child. Below is the Statement from the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department.
The Fort Oglethorpe Police Department would like to update the community on an incident that occurred yesterday at Gilbert-Stephenson Park. We can confirm there was an incident where a gentleman was lurking about the park. This gentleman did at one point interact with at least one child, picking that child up before a concerned citizen intervened. Officers were able to speak with both the complainant and suspect. After consulting with the District Attorney’s Office a warrant was obtained. Fort Oglethorpe Police officers did serve the warrant, and the suspect was transported to the Catoosa County jail.
