Walker County and Chickamauga City School will open on a two-hour delay today.

There is a winter weather advisory and a wind chill advisory in effect for Walker County so make sure you bundle up before you leave for work or school.

Judge Kristina Cook Graham has announced that she will not see re-election in 2024.  Graham had been a judge on the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit for several years.  Sje is the daughter of famed attorney Bobby Lee Cook.  Graham was appointed by Govenor Zell Miller as the fourth Superior Court judge in the circuit in 1992.  The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit oversees Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade and Walker Counties.  Graham had been reelected to the post successfully eight times since her appointment and held that post for 32 years. She’s held the post of circuit chief judge since 2016.

 Georgia’s unemployment rate held steady at 3.4% in December.  That’s the fourth consecutive month that the unemployment numbers have remained unchanged.  Jobs in healthcare and food services continue to grow across the state.
