Traffic was a mess yesterday morning in Catoosa County. A transfer truck was stuck under the train trestle bridge. The road had to be closed for several hours until crews could clear the truck. Crews continued to work throughout the day and into the evening to clear the debris from the road and the surrounding areas.
The latest restaurant health inspection report shows a 100 for the Waffle House in LaFayette. Wolfes Den Coffee Shop in LaFayette received a 100 as well.
Five felony arrests in Walker County on Wednesday. 28-year-old Joseph Tyler Chartier was booked on felony possession of a schedule II. 59-year-old Gregory Allen Roach faces multiple felony and midemeanor charges including aggravated assault on a police officer.
The Cherokee Regional Library system will have a board of trustees meeting. The meeting will be to approve the fiscal year 2025 budget. The meeting is set for June 27th at 4pm at the LaFayette Walker County Public Library.
