The Walker County School Board will hold a called session today.  The purpose of the meeting is to interview prospective board members for the vacant Post 3 seat.  The meeting will happen at 5pm at Ridgeland High School.
A Ft. Oglethorpe doctor’s office is coming under fire from patients.  Physicians Care has received complaints from customers that they claim to accept their insurance, only to be billed a large amount later.  Some customers say they did not receive a bill until months later.  In some cases, they received bills after they returned to the clinic multiple times.
State inspectors have finished their investigation into Tuesday’s incident at Lake Winnepasaukah.  A teen employee at the amusement park was hurt after what park officials called an operator issue.  Inspectors found no evidence of malfunction or faulty equipment, the park says.
Condolences to singer Lauren Alaina and her family.  Alaina took to social media yesterday to announce the death of her father, J.J Suddeth.  The North Georgia native says “I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte, as I am going home to be with my family.”  Alaina was going to open up for Jason Aldean in his “Highway Desperado Tour” July 25 and July 26 in Savannah and Virginia Beach.
