There is a threat of some severe weather in the area today. We are expected to hit a high of 93. Heat index of 101. Some strong scattered storms are expected between 2pm and 7pm. We could see some gusty, damaging winds along with small hail. There is no real threat of a tornado but take extra precautions if you have to be on the road this afternoon. Five felony arrests in Walker County on Wednesday. Among those booked. 51-year-old Gregory Scott Clark. Clark faces charges of possession of meth. 31-year-old Jessica Leann Howard was also charged with possession of meth. A Ringgold woman was killed earlier this week when a brake caliper from the car in front of her came loose and went through her windshield. Autumn McClure was riding in the passenger seat with her boyfriend on Wednesday when the accident occurred. McClure would have turned 21 next month. Ringgold Police are continuing their investigation in the incident.
