The Walker County Board of Commissioners will meet only two more times this calendar year. The Board has adjusted the remainder of their calendar. Meetings will be held November 14th and December 19th. The meetings start at 6:30pm at the Walker County Courthouse Annex III on South Main Street in LaFayette.
Gas prices in the state of Georgia are up slightly over last week. Walker, Dade and Catoosa Counties still have the best gas prices in the state. Locally a gallon of regular unleaded gas will cost you an average of $2.79. Statewide prices have jumped about two-cents in the last week to $2.94 per gallon for regular unleaded.
