Cameron won with 80% of the vote over Democrat John Zibluk.
Incumbent Republican Colton Moore won reelection to represent District 53 in the state senate. Moore won with 79% of the vote over challenger Bart Bryant. Marjorie Taylor Green won with 65% of the vote over Shawn Harris for US House District 14.
There were several local races where the winner was determined in the primary. Candidates elect running unopposed yesterday included Sheriff Steve Wilson and Coroner Billy Sims. Incoming Commission Chair Angie Teems did not face opposition yesterday. Teems told us last night she wants transparency in county government.
