A Rossville man has been sentenced to 66 years in prison.  41-year-old Jarred Hosh pled guilty on November 8th to three counts of sexually exploiting a child, one count of soliciting another to commit child molestation and one count of soliciting another to sexually exploit a child.  Hosh was out on parole at the time of his arrest.  Pornographic images of his intellectually disabled children were found at the time of his arrest.  A GBI search of Hosh’s phone uncovered a number of child sexual abuse materials and several obscene chat logs.  Hosh was sentenced to the maximum of 66-years with the first 60 years to be served in confinement.  If Hosh is released he will be required to register as a sex offender.
The Walker County Historic Preservation Commission will hold a meeting tomorrow night.  The meeting happens at 6pm at the LaFayette-Walker County Public Library on Duke Street in LaFayette.
The Tennessee Valley Authority has put out a reminder to be on the lookout for baby copperhead snakes.  TVA says if you are walking or hiking, watch where you step or place your hands.  Baby copperheads like to stay in damp places like logs or even flower pots in your yard.  Look for the yellow-green tail tips as an additional way to spot them.
LaFayette High School Basketball got off to a roaring start on Friday night.  The Lady Ramblers beat Oakwood 59-26.  Raven Yancy led the way with 22 points.  The boys team beat Oakwood 76-55.  Khalas Finley scored 16 points in the win.
