TRAVEL ALERT for May 21:
Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga takes place this Sunday and the bicycle portion of the race will cause travel delays in Walker County along the route. Motorists can expect delays between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., especially at the following intersections:
-Highway 193 at Highway 341
-Highway 193 at Highway 136
-Highway 136 at Highway 341
The bike route was chosen to highlight areas that fully showcase the unique setting of north Georgia. Please proceed with caution, utilize detour routes, and allow for additional travel time to your destination.
