The LaFayette High School cross-country team opened its season Saturday at Heritage, competing against 29 other teams in the season’s first meet.
The Ramblers finished 13th overall in the 30-team field. Leading the way for LaFayette were Peyton Lands, Cayden Decker and Braxton Lively.
In the girls’ race, Madalynn Davis, Analeigh Biggs and Carly Davis turned in impressive performances.
The girls’ team is currently incomplete, and students interested in joining the cross-country program are encouraged to speak with Coach Brooks or Coach O’Neil as soon as possible.
The Ramblers will return to competition September 17 in Dalton for their next meet.
