Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area is gearing up to celebrate the grand opening of its newest store in LaFayette. The festivities will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, March 7 at 8:30 a.m., followed by the official opening of the store at 9 a.m. Located at 111 Mize Street, the new establishment will feature a Goodwill retail store along with a Donation Xpress center.
This marks the 17th retail store location for Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area, a significant milestone for the organization. To commemorate the occasion, Goodwill is extending a warm invitation to residents of Walker County and surrounding communities to join in the celebration. The grand opening event promises fun for all ages, with activities including a ribbon cutting, appearances by Goodwill’s beloved Smiling G mascot, as well as giveaways and door prizes throughout the day while supplies last.
Operating hours for the new store will be Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Donations will be accepted during regular store hours, providing community members with an opportunity to contribute to Goodwill’s mission of empowering individuals facing barriers to employment.
With over 350 employees, many of whom have overcome various obstacles to employment, Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area remains committed to serving the community.
