LaFayette High School has named current wrestling head coach Ethan Thompson as its new football coach.  Thompson has grown the Rambler wrestling program from 15 kids to more than 50 since taking over as the head coach.  He wants to do the same with the football program.  “LaFayette is a special place to be” said
Thompson this morning shortly after meeting with his players.
“LaFayette is destined for great things.”  Thompson went on to say that he plans to bring a lot of energy and a lot of expectations to the Rambler program.  The first-time head football coach said he plans to retain the current assistants at LHS and said that he plans to add a coach or two, “where we need it”.  In addition to being a first-time head football coach, Thompson will also be a first-time dad with a baby girl due in June.  The Ramblers will have two weeks of spring practice culminating with a scrimmage at home against North Murray.
