The LaFayette High School Lady Ramblers volleyball team is headed to the Elite Eight after an impressive 3-0 victory over Lumpkin County in the state playoffs.

LaFayette delivered a strong performance, winning all three sets by identical scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-18 to secure a spot in the state quarterfinals.

With the victory, the Lady Ramblers will advance to face the Ringgold Lady Tigers on Saturday, October 24, in what will be LaFayette’s final home match of the season.

The matchup will feature two Northwest Georgia rivals battling for a spot in the Final Four, with LaFayette looking to keep its postseason run alive in front of the home crowd.

The playoff victory also comes with a major individual milestone for the Lady Ramblers. Sophomore Makenna Clarke has established a new LaFayette High School record for kills in a single season, recording 439 and counting.

Clarke’s record-breaking accomplishment highlights an outstanding sophomore campaign, and she will have an opportunity to add to that total as LaFayette continues its postseason journey.

The Lady Ramblers are encouraging fans and the community to pack the gym Saturday and show their support as the team looks to advance to the state semifinals.
