The LaFayette Lady Ramblers have announced their 2026 varsity and junior varsity softball schedule, featuring a busy slate of non-region and region matchups as they prepare for another competitive season.
LaFayette will begin the year with a preseason scrimmage against Dade County on July 31 at home before officially opening the regular season on August 3 against Adairsville at LaFayette High School.
The Lady Ramblers will face several local rivals throughout the season, including Calhoun, Ridgeland, Gordon Lee, Heritage, Sonoraville, Dade County, Armuchee and Coahulla Creek. Region play begins August 18 when LaFayette hosts Sonoraville and continues through early October with key contests against Rockmart, Ringgold, Union County, Murray County, North Murray and Coahulla Creek.
Home fans will have plenty of opportunities to support the Lady Ramblers, with numerous games scheduled at LaFayette High School throughout August, September and October. Senior Night is scheduled for October 1 when LaFayette hosts North Murray in one of the team’s final regular-season region contests.
The regular season concludes October 7 with a home game against Heritage before postseason play begins. The first round of the state playoffs is scheduled for October 13-16, followed by the second round October 20-23. Teams advancing to the Elite Eight will travel to Columbus for the state tournament from October 29 through November 1.
Several junior varsity contests are also scheduled throughout the season, providing younger players valuable game experience against area programs including Adairsville, Sonoraville, Gordon Lee and Calhoun.
With a challenging region schedule and a mix of experienced opponents, the Lady Ramblers will look to build momentum throughout the season and position themselves for a deep postseason run.
